Jaffery Academy honours 3rd batch of Form

 A total of 44 students graduated last Saturday at the third form six graduation ceremony held at Jaffery Academy, Arusha.

The Guest of Honour, Mr Bala Sundra,  a board member of the school,  told the graduates  Tanzania needed educated human resource for growth of the society and the country. “I am confident with the solid foundation of education gained at Jaffery, you will face the world  and the future with confidence and come out with flying colours”, he said.

Mr. Sundra represented the Academy Board Chairman, Mr. Mustafa Panju.

Earlier, the High School Principal, Mr. G. Sengoka,  advised  the graduates to “take the entire stretch in stride” and use all their skills, creativity, commitment and dedication to jump the hurdles they encounter along the way.

He  urged the graduates  not to be in a rush as they are going to work the rest of their lives therefore they should stretch out their college education.

He pleaded with them to shun social ills like drug abuse, alcohol and irresponsible sex which could kill their future. “A lot of young people have had their lives destroyed due to drug abuse and other related social vices… The world is full of enticing falsehoods which you should avoid at all costs", he said.

The school  recognised best performing students  by awarding  them with books  vouchers and certificates.

Those presented with prizes for overall best performances in their combinations were;  Alice Lobulu for Physics, Geography and Mathematics (PGM); Ruha Rizwan-- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM); Anna Zakayo --  History, Geography and Language (HGL); Farrah Lalani -- Economics, Commerce and Accounts (ECA); Deborah Mwaipopo-- Chemistry, Biology and Geography (CBG); Taher Mohamed -- Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) (Cambridge); Mehdiyah Manji -- Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB).Other awards were for the most diligent student which went  to Samira Bako and Mehdiyah Manji clinched the award for  the most disciplined student.  Awards for leadership were given to the head girl, Hellen Mashera and the head boy, Alihussein Kassam.

Jaffery Academy with wings for High School, Primary School, CBSE programme, Nursery School and Special Education Needs is located Njiro area of the Arusha municipality.
